"Grab this device, and it will grab you back" - it's a phone guys
The width is the same as the last one, despite the larger screen
It has a leather effect back
Comes in black, pink and white
I'm guessing that the leather isn't real leather. The stitching looks good...is anyone else reminded of BlackBerry right now?
There are a bunch of covers with lots of different colours, including "oatmeal beige"
Orange, red, green black to name just a few
I'm not feeling the blush pink color, but the removable colors in the "Taste of Autumn" collection aren't so bad.
Dang, is this a Uniqlo or a phone launch?
David Park from the marketing team is on stage.
A wide range of accessories from designers will make Samsung some extra cha-ching.
"joined by the lovely Jane" (a camera person) says Bradbury
Park talking about the new S Pen.
The S Pen is become more versatlie - it the key that unlocks the power, speed and functionality of the Note 3
The "all-new S Pen" is indeed supposed to work better with the screen. But we don't get to hear about that until later. Looks like there's a new jog wheel to select tools.
Dot, circle, box is the key
When you see a dot on the screen, you click it and get Air Command
These are new movements you'll use to do things on the Note 3.
From there, you can choose different options, like Action Memo
Air Command is that jog wheels you use to select tools.
There are 5 features rolled into one, and you can access it from anywhere.
That links memos to actions
You can call a number you have written by hand with a pen, for example, or save to contacts
Writing down a phone number or address makes them active. It'll recognize the phone number so you can call directly or save. Not bad.
They are talking up the handwriting recognition
Now onto Scrapbook: an information gathering tool
David Park's handwriting isn't that pretty, so I'm guessing that as long as you're printing and giving the characters space, it should recognize your chicken scratches.
Click scrapbook, draw a circle around the content, add to a category and save. It doesn't look very easy.
You could already circle an item to save it to the clipboard and save...and it also appeared in the Note 8 tablet.
