So long as you live in an LTE area. Otherwise, you'll be using 3G.
It's the Samsung Galaxy Gear
Oh wow, another awkward transition! You can always count on Samsung for cutesy scripting.
You can make and receive calls through voice control
It notifies you about SMS text updates
It complements the Note 3
Only 20 minutes after New Yorkers saw the Gear and Note 3, Berlin gets to see it too. Talk about a time lag...
Looks like the Gear comes in a range of bright and sober colors.
The Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition is on screen
I'm guessing that the Gear will work with the Galaxy S4 right out of the box as well.
2560 x 1600 display, stereo speakers in Galaxy Note 10.1
The Note 10.1 isn't something that had made the rumor circuits, so we'll make sure we get some good hands on with that.
Ship 25th September worldwide
The new tablet will come with complementary access to Dropbox and the New York Times, for starters.
Those are the three products we're seeing today - Galaxy Gear, Note 10.1 2014 edition, Galaxy Note 3
Sept 25th is the ship date for the Gear and Note 3 in 140 countries. They become globally available in October.
Ok, now we're going to learn more about the specs.
Menno Van Den Berg is on stage, president of Samsung Electronics Netherlands, talking about the Note 3
Wait, did he just make a watch joke about the phablet? Oh, Jason Bradbury....
Menno's favourite part are the rumours leading up to an event
I'm not sure why Samsung is keeping score about the Unpacked events. "It's become a brand."
Samsung is the pioneer in this category (phablets)
We're watching a marketing video about the Note
Samsung is correct that they do own the phablet category. But I say that Dell technically started it with the Dell Streak, which was a little too far ahead of its time.
It's all about the Note, and the Pen
These guys love their pen
"With us, you can achieve your passions more easily every day". Ugh.
My biggest wish with using the S Pen stylus is actually that it works better with the note-taking app. The new need to be more mutually sensitive. There are all sorts of minor usability issues I'd love to see ironed out.
"Design your life." I think we just stumbled upon Samsung's latest internal T-shirt slogan.
Samsung VP is back. He says people want a larger screen, a more premium screen, and better design.
